Gary Lincoff Memorial Scholarship
The Mid-Hudson Mycological Association is offering a $300 scholarships to support members in pursuing deeper mycological learning and engagement with the broader fungal community.
Gary Lincoff had a rare gift for making people fall in love with fungi — and for showing that serious science and genuine wonder aren’t mutually exclusive. This scholarship honors his legacy by supporting members whose mycological curiosity runs deep.
What we’re looking for: A strong application for this award will reflect scientific curiosity and a commitment to learning. As you write, consider: What draws you to fungi beyond the walk and the basket? How has your understanding of mycology developed, and where do you want it to go? What would you bring back to share?
Awards can be applied toward:
Local, regional, or national mushroom forays (NAMA, NEMF, COMA, and other NAMA affiliate events)
Mycological education programs, courses, or certifications
Stewardship or conservation activities
Applications are reviewed by the board.

A Note on Applying
