COMA sponsors a scholarship program in honor of Sylvia Stein, a founding member of COMA. The intent of the scholarship program is to stimulate further interest and study in the amazing world of fungi. The Sylvia Stein Scholarship provides financial support to an outstanding applicant wishing to advance and share their knowledge of mycology, specifically mushroom identification, by attending a mycology-related educational event. Applicants must be a current member of COMA for at least one year and are expected to actively participate in mushroom identification on COMA walks. The scholarship guidelines and application may be downloaded at: www.comafungi.org/docs/scholarship.pdf<http://www.comafungi.org/docs/scholarship.pdf>
