Wine Workshop
June 29, 2014 @ 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm
MHMA will conduct a Wine Workshop
Sunday June 29, 2014 from 1-5 pm
at Pantanos Wine and Brewing Shop in New Paltz
Adult MHMA members only
Cost: A$20/ person, $25/couple
This will be a “hands on” class featuring three wines to demonstrate the basic steps in fermentation:
1) Primary fermentation: rhubarb wine
2) Secondary fermentation: raspberry malomel
3) Bottling: Sauvignon Blanc with pear and kiwi
The workshop will end with a pot luck supper and wine tasting. Each person/couple will take home a
bottle of the Sauvignon Blanc wine which we will have bottled.
Because of space limitations, attendance will be limited to the first 35 MHMA adult members who apply by calling or e-mailing Jill Weiss for reservations and planning a food contribution for the pot luck tapas meal. Suggestions for the meal include small bites, cheese and crackers, marinated olives, mushrooms, pate or other dip with veggies, chips or bread, salad and beverages. We are also asking people to bring their own plates, utensils and glasses in an effort to reduce our carbon footprint. To ensure minimum duplication, please include what you plan to bring with your RSVP.
